Now, let's talk about some major changes with the new I-539. The big change is that biometrics are now required. This means that in addition to the filing fee, you also have to include a biometrics fee. This is part of the new administration's policy for increased national security. When you file your I-539, immigration will schedule you for biometrics at an application support center. This includes fingerprinting, a biometric scan of your face, and taking your signature. In terms of fees, if you are filing alone, the filing fee is $370, plus an $85 biometrics fee. However, if you are filing as a family, such as a spouse and children or two spouses, the filing fee covers the whole family unit.
